Project Drives

A 'project drive' is something I am coining to describe long drives I have made to be able to sort through the experiences with clarity and objectification

Trip 01: Alaska

This trip was in May of 2022 and essentially me and my Father drove as much of Alaska as we possibly could in 7 days. We drove a Cadillac XT4 from Anchorage up to Fair banks and Down to Homer. We easily put 1000 miles on the car in a week and I cannot remember it ever giving us a problem. Very solid car and gorgeous mountains. This trip deserves to be here.

Trip 02: Izu Peninsula

After finally getting my driver's license in Japan, I had heard great things about Toyota rent a car and was determined to go on a drive. I drove all around the perimeter of Izu in one day, it took roughly 13 hours and it was wonderful. Gorgeous beach side view and many hills through the country side. It was my first solo driving adventure in Japan and I treasure it. Shoutout the 2025 Corolla hatchback: it's very comfortable and absolutely thoughtless to drive.

Trip 03: Florida To The Dragon's Tail

What should be an 8 hour straight from the top of Florida to the border of Tennessee turned into a 12 hour joy ride in my Father's 328i. The Dragons Tail is a famous road in the Eastern US for being extremely curvy and fun to drive. The luxurious sport feel of a two door BMW rose to the occasion as well. I remember it fondly.
